Worldwide, substance abuse is gaining attention for the damage it does to families and communities, and the need for trained, ethical addiction and prevention professionals is growing apace. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, substance abuse counseling is one of the fastest growing professions, projected to grow 20 percent by 2016.

MARRCH

The Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health (MARRCH) is a professional association of chemical health agencies and individuals striving to raise awareness about chemical dependency and the power of recovery. We represent more than 60 agencies and more than 1,650 individuals (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, or LADCs, students, others) with members in every region of Minnesota.

The mission of the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy is to protect the public through effective licensure and enforcement of the statutes and rules governing its licensees to ensure a standard of competent and ethical practice.
